Naxos is a fertile island with its own production of agricultural and dairy products. The famous Naxian cheese, potatoes and citrus are just a few of them.

Cheese - There is a variety of local cheese of an excellent quality. Graviera is the most well known type of cheese. Provio is made out of 100% sheep's milk. Kefalograviera is a hard version of graviera. Kefalotyri is a hard and dry cheese like parmesan. Anthotyro is one of the best on its kind in Greece. Ksynotyro has a very strong taste, myzithra has a milky taste and manouri looks like cottage cheese in view, not in taste. Naxian butter is just perfect. All cheese above plus a few others can be found at Veronis, Cheese and Local Products Store opposite the High School at Papavassiliou Street.

Wine, Liqueur and Spirits - Naxos produces an excellent quality of wine which can be bought either bottled or straight from barrel. Komiaki village in Northern Naxos produces excellent wine (strong) which can be bought from barrel in the village. Citron Liqueur is the local product and trade mark of Naxos Island and is produced from citron tree leafs. Raki is a clear spirit very strong and is the local drink. All these products can be bought at Promponas Wine and Liqueur makers (for the bottled products) at Sea front of Naxos Town and also at Veronis, Cheese and Local Products Store (both bottled and draft), opposite the High School at Papavassiliou Street.

Agricultural products - Naxian potatoes are said to be the best in Greece. Onions are very tasteful and "sweet" too. All the rest like beans, vegetables are very tasty too.

Other products - Naxos is famous for white marble (well known since antiquity) and Naxian emery (Koronos village) is top quality in the world.
